I'm just wondering where to start looking for pointers on the "Cost of Software Quality" methodology and concepts. Has anyone had experience of this, and where are the best places to start learning about this?
I've already picked up a lot of links from Google, which I will be ploughing through, and I've done a search here (with no results
If you could you describe reasons (why do you need it?) we would be able to provide some useful answer. For example I canít understand why are you ask for methodology? Do you mean methodology of calculating the cost? Also Ė what experiences do you ask for? Cost evaluation experiences?
P.S. I believe that topic is too abstract/academic to be of interst for this forum
This is an area of "discussion" that I think we (Test/QA professionals) tend to fail at. We know all the technical and user related things, but when it comes down to the economics of our work we are pretty clueless. And the one main thing that the management and C-level people talk about is money, how to make it and not loose it.
This is where a little bit of understanding of your "target audience" can help you to communicate effectively and get your point across.
