Does anyone know the European railway standard EN50128? I know that it covers also Railway Software Systems but I am not familiar with the details. Or, can anyone tell me where can I find more details? I tried to google it but without any results.
Re: Stadrad EN50128
try the following link, there is a connection there to the standard which can be purchased off the British Standards Insitute
Additional guidance on how to apply the standards can be found in the yellow book (a free version of the Strawman can be found on the URL below)
Additionally there is a very good paper on the requirements for a robust safety critical approach (in relation to these standards) on:
And there are a number of Yahoo Groups and geocity sites on safety critical systems that may be worth investigating.
Also retry google with "Validation verification CENELEC EN50128" which returns some very useful hits if you can spare the time to read through the details of the papers.
Google does occasionally need fore knowledge to get effective results, hopefully this will help as a starter for you.
