Testing for quality aspects in TDD
In what i have seen about Test Driven Development untill now, the test are about functionality that must be implemented. But where do you put the tests for overall quality aspects like performance, accountability, etc..?
Re: Testing for quality aspects in TDD
you can also do these in tdd, most people however chose to focus on the easier to identify and test for stated functions at the class method level.
Tom Gilb (at one of the XP Days) has spoken on this subject as has Carol Dekkers (not sure where but it is a google hit) on making the measurement of XP and TDD more focussed and quantified by other methods and on wider systems aspects.
Also recently these wider aspects have started to be discussed both on the agile-testing and extreme programming yahoo groups. Also (at the risk of blowing my own trumpet) I will be talking on the subject at StarWest in November 2005.
