I have been tasked with generating docuemtns to map out our softawre quality procedures. I would like a template to get some ideas on the flow of the document. Does anyone have a template or a link to a site with templates?
I have browsed through google but the only thing I can find are sites where you have to purchase the templates (and they dont give away many clues on generating this for yourself).
I would like my procedures to be iso compliant so an ISO template would be great.
Let me clarify your queries. Are you entrusted with the task of Implementing ISO 9001 QMS?? If yes then what are the specific document templates your are looking out for??
There are some good sites which offer Template download, but you will have to map them according to the ISO clauses. For E.g: Clause 7.3 of QMS talks about Design and Development, in this case u need templates and documents that will spport the design and development activities of your Organization, that would be Architectural and Design Documents (High level and Low Level).
In this manner create a list of probable templates that would be required according to QMS. And then surf the below given sites..I bet you will find nearly 30-40% of the templates that maps with ISO. But u need to be well versed in interpreting ISO Standards..
Thanks for the links Sachin (added to my favourites), but guess what? The one template I am after is not on any of those sites (unless I missed it)
Basically the template I'm after or ideas on the document content I want is...
For example, if you have a procedure for entering defects or generating test scripts, then I want to document the process or procedure.
I hope to document all of our testing procedures from entering time recording to signing off a product.
eneilson , Leonardo...that was my pleasure to share those with u....
Now eneilson....you are still not being clear on your requirements...You spoke abt testing..
The software testing is a process..and to implement that procedure. If we speak abt QMS(ISO). Then the 7.5 clause is majorly effected.
Draw up a Testing process flow chart..It will clear your views on the Process. Then start finding out its entry criteria, the actual process, and when the process is exited..This is how a procedure looks ,ofcourse lot more is added..like purpose, scope, definitions, stakeholders etc.
Find out how code units are transferred for testing..are there any configuration mgmt done? if so provide procedure reference to that.
You wont get a procedure exactly that suits ur requirement anywhere in this world..
