Our compny is going for the Level 5 certification..
Do tell me what are the changes that ACTUALLY takes place when a company get level 5..
I know that the Level5 KPA is that a company should have the capability to prevent defects rather than taking corrective actions. But how does this actually happen..
And what are the other changes that take place when a company goes to level5??
My recollection from the last time I was in a CMM seminar is that Level 5 is self-sustaining and self-correcting. If your company is expecting to achieve level 5, then you should have both all the CMM literature available to you and hopefully a CMM expert within your company who could answer this better for you. (I'm just taking a stab here because apparently no one else here will/can.)

The generals sat, and the lines on the map moved from side to side.
