Best Practices for QA and SDLC
I'm researching best practices for QA as it pertains to the SDLC. Can anybody suggest a good starting point? Anything particular that I should look into? Thanks in advance.
Re: Best Practices for QA and SDLC
My personal belief on "Best Practices" is that no single methodology, as it is defined, is best for any organization - the methodology and practices have to match the organization in order to be effective.
You can see more on people who share that view at http://www.context-driven-testing.com
That being said, you can get information on CMM at http://www.sei.cmu.edu/
ISO at http://www.iso.ch/iso/en/ISOOnline.frontpage
Xtreme Programming at http://www.extremeprogramming.org/
and IEEE at http://www.ieee.org/portal/index.jsp
Not all of these are strict methodologies, and none are necessarily specific to QA or the SDLC implicitly, but it's a good place to start gathering information.
If you provide the context of your question, perhaps we can provide better responses to you.
