ISO Quality Manual vs. IEEE Quality Plan?
Just curious if any of you QA Managers working at commercial software companies have been asked/required to write a corporate Quality Plan? A process contractor at my company is proposing that my company create a Quality Plan (IEEE term I believe) to my boss. I believe this is pretty much the same as a the Quality Manual required by ISO 9001? It's been a while since my ISO 9000 days. I remember ISO 9000 focused on the definition of a Quality System and I think the Quality Manual described that Quality System at a high level.
Just curious how many of you at commercial companies have done this and if the Quality Plan is in fact similar to the ISO9001 Quality Manual?
Lastly, can you recommend a website with sample Quality Plans or Quality Manuals. I'm mainly looking for the typical sections that would be contained in the Plan/Manual for a commercial software company.
