In September 1956 IBM launched the 305 RAMAC, the first
computer with a hard disk drive (HDD). The HDD weighed over
a ton and stored 5 MB of data.
If your not computer literate, it takes 1024 MB to make 1 Gig and if your computer has a 20 Gig drive, then it would have taken 4,096 of these units to equal your computer.
Also the weight would be over 8,192,000 LBS. What a laptop
that would make......
