Is a "security professional" someone who gets paid for being a hacker? See, now, if they wised up from their old "gee wouldn't it be nice to bust up MS's software" to "gee wouldn't it be nice to get PAID to bust up MS's software" ----- why would they do it now for free?
I see the hackers using this as a chance to get some early intel on how it works. Even if they find something they don't have to report it to them.
They could just wait until MS releases it with MS saying aha the hackers found nothing, then boom 5 minutes after release they have the largest intrusion in MS history due to a security flaw that they found months earlier.
