Any suggestions for a good read? I have quite a bit of travelling to be done next week and I can't decide what I should pick up next. Just concluded with The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, which I think would be be a very tough act to follow.
PS: No techie books please. I'll be on vacation! :-)
Hiya Mark!! Glad to hear your headed off to vacation!! Have a few cold ones for me!
One of my friends let me borrow a stack-o-books and one is Kite Runner. I'll have to bump it up in the queue!
I'm reading the latest in Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. It's one of those series that goes on forever, sort of like Robert Jordan's, but with more humor: http://www.tor.com/sites/sword_of_truth/ I should warn you that it does get a bit graphic at times - not for the squeamish.
So i got 3 books to keep me entertained. Life of Pi, The World is Flat and The bookseller of Kabul. I think I'm going to read the Life of Pi first. For political stuff I will stick to watching Lewis Black on HBO ;-). And the bookseller will have to wait until I'm over the middleeast overdose I've had with my last two books. Couldn't get my hands on Cosmic Banditos and The Political Zoo.
