the code tags will indent the code block, but not the lines individually when you want to tab out from a brace or what not. Unfortunately you have to either space it out character by character, or copy and paste the code from your editor (it seems to retain them when you do that)
Multiple spaces in HTML look like just one and there isn't a tab character in HTML.
You can do &nbsp; for each space.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">It shows up for you when you hit the quote button or you go into the advanced reply window. I haven't looked into the settings to see if it can be set as the default way to reply.
Otherwise the tags are just [ code] and [ /code] (remove the spaces)
