Imagine cruising the blvd in a 70 Chevelle Malibu 350 4bbl with 8-track of the early Bee Gees, trying to find the start of a song on 4 different stereo tracks - while attired in a rusty colored leisure suit - collar flying wide open - working up a sweat - and finally thirstin' fer a beer.
Hey, listen, always remember "you dance wiv the one wot brung ya!" I have a cassette deck in my car, not a CD player, see?
(Actually, this is a temporary backward step. I have had CD players in my cars for the last several years, but with this one, I'm too lazy to install the FM/Cassette head unit and 6-CD-changer that I have sitting in a box in my living room).
I spend a lot of time in the car, and I listen to books on tape which I borrow from the library. What really pees me off is when people don't fast forward to the end (or, worse, get bored with a story and leave the tape in the middle).
lol - you are so old school - my libary in the UK only does the audio books on CD these days
It did really annoy me back in the 90's prior to having a car with a CD stacking system
