I am looking for this site that had ideas on how to carve pumpkins. It was this guy and not a magazine or other commercial web presence. Hopefully if I describe the ones I remember someone can point me in the right direction.
One of my favorites had a surprise expression on the face and a gun stuck in one side of the head and there was pumpkin gut brains blown out the other side.
Another great one had two pumpkins on steps one above the other. The one on the bottom step had a groused out expression on his face. The one on the top was barfing pumpkin guts on the top of the one below.
The one that creeped me out the most was so simple. It was a basic jack-o-lantern but it was tied up in a white kitchen garbage bag that was half full of water. You could see the face through the plastic. It was just plain creepy.
I remember that pictures of some of the pumpkins made the funnies-to-forward-these-to-all-your-friends email circuit a couple of years back.
I like the random effect brought on by a well-placed M-80. Or, just carve one with face-space enough to mount a CD or 3x5 photo. Fill the space with either a B-Spears CD or photo of Paris H; backlit of course. Another idea for a generic carving... implant a motion-activated sound chip that announces Windows-XP SP3.
