As of late... especially a couple I've recently met. It seems a lot of people are looking to Scrum and Agile to fix all their woes on projects. When in fact they need to look in the mirror and get some common sense.
I see this "process" as a tool, and the tool needs to be understood and used accordingly & appropriately. Not thrown about like a machette.
I'm sure there are some good ones, but they appear to far and few in between.
Well, when you consider that the most useless person (did nothing, talked constantly, more worried about her social life than being productive) on last year's graduate program at my previous company has spent this year getting all 'Scrum-ed up' and has now secured herself a job as a project manager at a new company....
I think Jim is right - companies love fads like scrum and agile - it allows them to hire people without having to think!
