Simon Pegg on why the undead should never be allowed to run | Film | The Guardian
"Everyone knows the undead don't run - so how come they were sprinting about in Charlie Brooker's recent TV drama? Simon Pegg argues for a return to traditional zombie values" http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008...-pegg-dead-set
I totally agree. There is no room for running zombies! Come on! I mean Zombies catch people enough as it is, imagine if they could run too? Not running is like the only weakness a zombie has. What next? Are we going to make a new Halloween movie and have Michael Myers run?
I think that was the thing with the update to Romero's movie, not only were those zombie better looking but they could beat many of the best sprinters I have seen. Zombies get you no matter what, and with the numbers they have shuffling around, why run? You'll eventually run into a group of them.
It was sort of like what got me about the 28 days movies, they were good, but if these people were so crazed why didn't they go after each other when no one else was around?
Good point! Zombies want fresh flesh and brains though. Other zombies have neither.
I also preferred the zombie movies where they actually seemed mindless. I mean it just seems like the zombies think too much these days. Like they're getting smarter. Probably because people just don't know how to write anything innovating these days using what original horror writers gave the zombies..nothing.
