Well, seeing as I was 8 or 9 at the time this started happening, occasionally I would get farming implement catelogues from the Mennonite farmer named Robert E Martin down the street. My Dad's mail (Robert L. Martin) sometimes ended up being addressed to me (Robert A. Martin)so it was rather disturbing to be getting mortgage statements at that young age.
It didn't stop with grade school either. In college, there was a professor J. Robert Martin in the bio-chemistry department so I would get catelogues for chemical reagents and other interesting implements.
When I told my wife that I wanted to name our first kid to, at least, have the middle name "Robert", she said, "What, are you crazy?"
