Guess the crime!

It was an interesting waste of 5 minutes.

"Real Life Mugshots"???

In real life, do people actually smile for mugshots?

(I suspect this is something less than real...)

Depends on a few things I guess -

How drunk or high there are as this will determine the disassociation from reality that is needed to only realize it is camera in front of them and not exactly what it is for...

Or....are they a up-and-coming Hollywood actor/actress in their own mind. "There is nothing wrong with free publicity"

heh...well I guess you never know. Maybe these are throw away pictures?

Still like I said, it was an amusing way to waste a few minutes.

Re: Guess the crime!

In regards to smiling mugshots, the Smoking Gun website has collections of lots of funny/bizarre/odd mugshots.

Loud shirts, crying, smiling, bad hair are a few of the categories. (or if you're Nick Nolte, you knock 2 of those out in one shot.)

Re: Guess the crime!

Most of the smilers seem to fit in one of two categories:
1. They know their picture will appear somewhere (even if only at this website) and they are - umm - advertising their wares.
2. They are too stupid/stoned/drunk to know what it happening to them.
