In July, I took a redeye to NYC on Delta, and they had this stupid Trivia game that you played against other passengers...to see who could get the highest score. Well, I saw one person had 4500points or something like that and throughout the first few hours, loads of people played. I played a few rounds but timing got to me too. I would only score in the 1000s or 2000s - low scores. The quicker you answered the question, the more points you got. Then as it became more like 2am, I got more and more into the game. Yeah, I have insomnia issues and I don't need much encouragement to stay awake but if there's a competition especially using my brain, "fuggetaboutit", I'm up all night.
I was determined to not only beat everyone at each round but to get the high score. For a couple of hours, I was playing against myself or with one other passenger. Then as we saw the sun rise, more people were waking and started to join in the game, I was getting faster and my scores were over 4000s. Funny how it's the last game as we were landing, I ended up on a tear. Not only did I beat the high score but my new high score put it out of reach. I scored 5300 points out of 6000.
Internet access and email will just make things worse for me.
