There was a recent story where mumsnet in the uk had to remove some forum content that negatively criticised Gina Ford.
Gina Ford sells books on how to bring up your baby. She has a strict routine that includes leaving babies to cry for hours. Her methods result in some pretty strong criticisims including one post that said something like she's so cruel she fires babies on rockets into Lebanon.
Mumsnet were forced to remove the posts by her lawyers. It's not quite the same issue as the posts were about her personally and pretty rude apparently, but Mumsnet were getting in trouble for what their users posted.
Everywhere's within walking distance if you have enough time.
just to politely mention that they are getting rather poor publicity out of the situation. As far as I can see, winning the case will produce about the worst publicity they could get. Certainly worse than stopping the lawsuit and probably worse than losing it.
