Rationalization - gotta have it

Just a statement I made earlier as a groups of us were talking about some tree huggin issues....

"I have become excellent at rationalization, as I think most Americans have, since I would be so depressed if I didn't do it well."

Then I thought about the ignorance thing. The less ignorant I am the better rationalizer I become.

You must be irrational if you think that your statement means anything. What is it you are trying to say??

Re: Rationalization - gotta have it

Ah, excuse me!?!? You're calling me irrational because you don't have a clue about what I'm trying to say here? LOL

How old are you? I guess I'll waste my time explaining it in case someone else needs it, and I guess for you too, but don't say I never did anything for you.

OK, so you don't rationalize things that others (or even yourself) would say "bad Rich, bad" so that you can feel justified in doing/having them?. Oh, wait, you must be young...I've been there...you don't even rationalize... you just choose to ignore it (ie. ignorance) and not even think about, much less deal, with it.

And you don't ever find out things that you do/have are bad and then rationalize why you do/have them? Oh, again, probably young and ignorant.

Actually your sig gives it away. Do you think we really need to know where the "END OF THE FORMAL MESSAGE" is? That's what the "-----" are for. And the "waste of time".... definitely young.

ROTFLMAO... I'm just messing with you. It's all good.
Cheers,

I'm 33 and lost, too. Maybe I just can't read stream of consciousness prose.

33!?!?! That's still young in my book Damian. I'd throw you in with the ignorant folks I guess you need to be >40 to understand it. Anyone?

Now I see what it take to get a freakin response from anyone. Forget asking an intelligent question...you have to write some stupid sheet and then hopefully get flamed. Then you flame that and everybody joins in. Thanks guys. ROTFL.

Bryan, actually you hit on something a poster alluded to in the general forum. I'll flush that out in a bit and link it here.

Re: Rationalization - gotta have it

I believe you may have been hitting on the same concept offered by Scott Barber "RSBarber" here:
http://www.sqaforums.com/showflat.ph...e=1#Post372291

Please scroll to his second response. Is that the same concept?

Also, I do not think anyone meant to flame you. This is a bunch of people used to picking things apart with precision. Your response seems to show that you fit right in. Pick back at 'em!

I am a young 58 soon to scroll the singles digit by one in 6 weeks.
