Wow, that must be first class! AA only throws me a bag of peanuts and a half can of soda!

Nah, thats not firstclass. you can tell by how close the seats are. If it were first class...you'd have a bigger bowl and a bigger glass for the soda and water. (not saying you'd get more) God forbid real food on an airline lol

A few years ago I remember actually liking the food on an airline. I dont remember the airline too well now but it was either Singapore or Malaysian.

On a recent trip I travelled SouthWest. My first time. For the first time I witnessed 'open seating' on an airline and was glad no one got killed in the scuffle for seats. Fortunately for me, I did not sample their pretzels and sodas.

Travelling on American to Argentina the food in business class was OK - the food in First Class was really good and even better was the free champagne.

When I travelled domestically a lot I used to buy my own sandwiches or salad for the flight - that was the only way to get something decent.

Southwest has open seating now? thats a new concept. lol. I remember when they used to give real food that required utensils. Now they wont give you a plastic knife for the fact that you might bring the plane down by trying to injure the pilot with a flimsy peice of plastic and him beating the crap out of you lol

I think SouthWest has always had open seating as far back as I remember. The only airline food I haven't liked is traveling in Asian countries. You don't give a texan a raw piece of tuna and some bean sprouts.

Southwest business plan was based on Open seating and no meals except for peanuts or pretzels. They may not be fancy but they are very efficient and my experience with their on time departure and arrival beats all of the other airlines I've used put together. The price is right too.
