I like the 80s pop from Europe or what I call "Eurotrash music" like Thompson Twins, A-Ha, Pet Shop Boys, Tears for Fears, etc. I also love The Cure, Depeche Mode and older rock bands like Cream, CCR, Moody Blues.
Occasionally I'm in the mood for harder stuff like metal but that is usually when the world around me is loud and crazy. I just concentrate better when I'm listening to music.

Ah, indeed, good. Then you know that Walkürenritt or Ritt der Walküren is the bit that starts Act III of Die Walküre, which is part of the cycle of four operas that make up the Ring cycle - Der Ring des Nibelungen.
I listen to a variety of things depending on mood and situation. I range from hard rock like Five Finger Death Punch to Foo Fighters to Nickelback to pop rock like Kelly Clarkson and Sheryl Crow to Southern rock like Stevie Ray Vaughn & Kenny Wayne Sheppard to british invasion like Cream & The Who & Beatles and early Led Zeppelin and Bad Company.
Yes, I am eclectic.
Sorry, no Country or Hip Hop/Rap or Classical. Only real rock and roll for me.
One of my colleagues (now persuing other interests) liked to play almost-Hip-Hop (I think to show he was kuhl). I found it annoying.
He found my alternate choices more annoying...
Simon Fraser University Pipe Band or Field Marshall Mongeomery Pipe Band - any of their discs are really solid pipe band recordings.
