reco for screen capture -> tutorial software < $50
Anyone got a recomendation for a screen capture software for making a tutorial? Someone asked and I was going to send them this note below, but thought I'd check if anyone had anything else? Ideally it would be free, but very cheap would be OK too....like less than $50.
I really think youíre going to need a paid version to do it right, but if you want to try a free one, wink, jing, or camstudio will probably be your best bet. The big thing is editing after recording. If itís free itís not going to have a good post recording editor.

I would recommend SnagIt, it has always worked well for me. I find it very versatile and use it for everything from creating illustrations for documentation to recording hard to reproduce defects with narration.
If you have Quality Center, there is a decent screen recorder included with it. The only caveat is that you need to be logged into the QC server to use it. It has a lot of neat features and we are starting to move to it for our new testers instead of buying more licenses of SnagIt.
