I can hear the echos of testing past, "But it worked for one user when we tested the site?"

I read articles like this and I shake my head in disbelief. With such a public risk present and so many stories of public websites becoming unavailable under load, even for technology companies and huge retail giants, why would Snapple Brands take the chance? Instead what may have been a strike of marketing genius becomes an knot of finger pointing and trying to play catch up to demand.

Oh well, I suppose this serves as a nice morality play for why an organization should performance test....
