Just wanted to shout out to you guys here at SQAForums - I started reading this forum early last year as I was transferred into a QA role. As some of you might remember it was pretty uncomfortable at first; thanks to the assistance of the individuals here I was able to get my QA brain up and running.
The happy ending of this chapter is that, thanks in part to the knowledge I gained here, I've been offered a testing position at a somewhat well-known local tech company. I would never have been able to make that transition without your guidance and I wanted you all to know that it is greatly appreciated.
The first thing I told my replacement is that she needs to get on this forum and start reading.
I agree, too. I think that there is a lot of knowledge on them thar forums. What's cool, too, is that if you don't know an answer to someone's questions, you can do some research yourself, also, and it helps you learn.
I mean I think that we're all in a bubble and if we never talked to each other we would never know half of what we know. I love the Interwebs. I think they're great.
9 out of 10 people I prove wrong agree that I'm right. The other person is my wife.
This is TAFKA AOQA, I just wanted you all to know that I'm back, with a new username. I started a new job where I was totally slammed with work and didn't have any time for surfin', but things have calmed down now and I'm ready to spam.
