Wondering what vital information can I get
from a Technical Architect and DBA before begining
performance testing apart from the logical and
system architectures and information like what
components of the application are running on what
I would like to get as much information as possible
before developing my test plan
Also,we have a performance requirement that says
the application would support 15000 concurrent
users, but the company has license which supports
only 500 concurrent users is there an alogorithm
to scale down the users? Iam confused
Remember to think/ask about I/O. I've had experiences where the test environment had debugging output turned on that caused performance measurements to be totally wrong.
I'm confused about the license too. But I'm guessing that you would scale by limiting the number of servers; I would expect load-balancing to be used in this case as there are so many users. So if the production environment has a 100 server farm and needs to support 15000, then each server would need to handle 150.
when you talk about 15000 concurrent users, you are missing the key things which has been discussed here many times.
Search for it over here in this forum.
okay i ask all the documents right from business objectives to architecture almost eveyrthing whatever takes to understand the systems.
