In our company we are studying the possibilities for procuring the rational test suite. I haven't had much experience with rational tool. We have been using Winrunner until now(but mainly restricted to client server applications). Another option we have is to retain the winrunner and to go for the empirix set of tools for the web. I have gone through an initial study of their tools and am pretty much impressed. So I would appreciate some inputs on this. Ya I know that without having an idea of the requirements it is like beating in the dark. But a discussion with some of your experiences will help a lot
Thanks in advance
First, I suggest to remove this thread to WinRunner or e-Test forum middway of the main qaforum page you might get more answers.
Second, I had the chance to use e-Tester when it was RSW and I liked the ease of using it and then taking the same script and do a Load test. Now I am looking at chance of using Empirix e-Tester 6.03 in this company and I am very impressed of the technology that they have. I am still evaluating it but I think I like it more than WinRunner. I used WinRunner 6.x and I took the web class for it.
Finally, depends which language to you feel comfortable to program with (VBA or TSL).
