I'm just about to start testing for a new client. Interactive TV infrastructure is the target test - does anyone have any experience of this and if so can you point me in the right direction?
Re: Interactive TV
I have had some success with recording a LR script against the iDTV emulator.
The website http://www.digitalcabletv.co.uk under developing section gives an overview of how the iDTV technology works and it turns out the “emmy” emulator is used by NTL, On digital and TeleWest ( three of the technology providers in the UK )
(Liberate's DTV Navigator Set-top Emulator (Emmy) emulates the software on the set-top box; in particular the effects of the DTV Transcoding servers)
As part of the emulator you have an emmy.ini file that is configured to point at NTLs head ( gateway ) or any other provider ( TeleWest etc.)
The default values of
were reconfigured to point at the LR vugen machine
I then configured LoadRunner Vugen record option settings for proxy settings to the values originally in the emmy.ini set vugen to
I then started recording from vugen WEB http / html and then launched the emmy1153.exe browser ( which is a netscape like browser - described at the developers web site. ) and navigated through the website.
I replayed it back and it seemed to work with no errors and when I did a show vuser it displayed some of the pages I had navigated through.
So I think you should have some success with LoadRunner.
