Transaction testing Vs\' Stress testing
I have been following the forum for couple of days. I have been following on the performance testing topics. I did learn a great a deal about performance testing. The articles by "JeffNyman" were very informative. In one of the articles on performance testing Mr. JeffNyman defines performance testing as "It tends to be broken up into transaction testing, load testing, volume testing, and stress testing. A superset of performance testing/simulation is capacity planning, which is more of a proactive approach to the overall performance concept".
Most of the threads just concentrate on Stress & load testing only. I would like to know the difference between "Stress and transaction testing" and also about volume testing and how is it different from others?
