Mem leak & MS Web App Stress Tool
We have recently started using the MS Web Application Stress Tool on a small scale, as we`re just in the process of setting up a "decent" test-lab and by using this tool, we encountered a memory leak in our application (VB6).
The app runs on a NT4 server (SQL 7, MTS, IIS) as a windows (+ client) and a web (thin client, IE 5) version.
The windows set is stabile, but the MS Web App Stress Tool indicates that there is a leak in the server`s virtual memory usage (mem should be freed again).
Q: did anybody experience any similar mem-leaks (using the MS Web App Stress Tool) or does anybody know, if those leaks could actually be caused by the tool ?
...and yes, we do realise that this little tool is not the "ultima ratio" in performance testing ;-)
