Can we connect to the a controller remotely? We have a group that has already set up a load testing lab with 1 controller and 4 hosts. Is there a way that we can connect to the controller in their lab and run our vusers without interfering with their tests? thanks for any advice

Yes and no. it depends on what you are trying to do. You can use remote software, but it has to take control of the computer and kick off a test like you would if you were sitting there yourself. I think you may be able to kick off a test using a scheduler and a command line function. Maybe even use a product like WinRunner to kick somehting off. You can schudule WinRunner through Test Director.
The no part comes in to play if they are already running a test. A controller can only run one test at a time. Otherwise the results get all mixed up.
Mercury just came out with a new product for situations like yours. It allows you to schedule tests through a web page to allow multiple users to share a group of controllers and load generators. It is called LoadRunner TestCenter.
