Black-Box load Testing
Hi everyone. I want to do a black-box load testing on a server which has captcha and probably secured.
I want to know how can i do that?
What requirements should i ask for?
You won't be able to load-test captcha-protected application as it is designed for preventing automated sign-ins.
The first thing you need to ask - is either completely disable or make the captcha static (like "12345")
Second - you need to choose a load testing tool. If you already have license for proprietary one - you better use that one, if not - I believe you'll have to go for free/open source option and Open Source Load Testing Tools: Which One Should You Use? should help to determine the right one.
Third - record your test scenario and prepare it for running (perform correlation, parametrization, assertions, etc.)
Forth - Identify your load scenario goal: whether it is required to simulate X concurrent users or X requests per second, what is acceptable response time for the given load, do you need to perform stress, soak testing, does application under test scale and do you need to cover that scenario.
Fifth - configure and run the test, analyze results, raise issues, etc.
Thanks for info
