Mobile Network Simulators for Mobile Application Performance testing
We have A requirement to performance test few NATIVE MOBILE APPLICATIONS (using Loadrunner) by simulating different mobile network bandwidths.
Apart from Shunra, can any other cost effective ( OR ) open source mobile network simulation tools be used effectively to simulate mobile N/W bandwidhts?
If so, can you please share the details about those tools ?
Your thought on this please.
Why not Shunra since it integrates with LoadRunner?
Open Source = WanEM. Compared to Shunra (or other commercial network emulators that pretty much are in the same price catagory and which do not integrate with your testing tool) you give up substantially
As our client does not want to invest on the mobile network emulation tools, I am looking for an open source tool.
Let me give a try on wanEM.

Replace ineffective offshore contracts, LoadRunnerByTheHour
. Starting @ $19.95/hr USD.
Put us to the test, skilled expertise is less expensive than you might imagine.

Still they would like to emulate the mobile networks using the open source emulation tools during the performance testing.
