Testing web applications against different browser
Hi I'm knew to performance testing and I'm looking to do some basic testing again a few web apps that are only supported in firefox and chrome. My question is should I simply record scenarios for both applications against IE, then playback against the respective browsers? Or is there something that may be specific to each browser that requires script recording against the browser's my client supports.
Note: I'm using Webload for my tool and I do not see anything unique about either application when access it through IE.
Re: Testing web applications against different browser
It would be unusual (although not impossible) for your web application to behave differently when used through different browsers.
Check with the developers and find out if there are differences such that you should check performance in a browser-specific manner, or not.
