I am in need of a performance testing tool (load and volume) that will handle Java applets. The system I am testing has some 3rd party components included, which have some Java applets and I don't have access to the methods' name/properties.

The primary need will be to identify the protocol of communication. You can also contact the tool vendors for a POC which of course will be done at free of cost.
suggest using the Advanced Search above before furthering this thread. Try "applet" in the Performance and Load Testing forum
Resistance is futile.
Find the protocol used by applets for communication., and then find out the tool you will be using supports that protocol.
