Problem in measuring performance.
While measuring the performance of our application I am facing a problem.
Our application is an automated work distributor (developed in CPP)that distributes the work from one processing queue to another. Our aim is to determine the per hour rate of processed cases (Processed by this application.).
Please help me out if any idea doing this.

As i understand, your application is kinda listener for queue say 'A' and once a case/ work is posted in this queue, it simply pulls it and places it in another queue say 'B' or gives it to a program that further processes it.
If my above understanding is correct then all you have to do is keep your application in not running state, have loads of case/ work (say 'm')in queue A and then start the application - measure in how much time all cases are processed (say 't'). Thus the performance measure is m/t cases per unit of time.
All you had to know was definition of performance :-)
