request execution time in J2EE server
Does anyone know if any J2EE application server has the feature to show each request's(URL, e.g.: http://hosta:7101/petstore/home.do) execution time ?
Thanks in advance.
Re: request execution time in J2EE server
weblogic has an mbean you can query that will give you each servlet/mbean average execution time, minimum time, maximum time, total executions, and more. From this you can infer all sorts of fun statistics. This lists stats from each of your clustered app servers seperately, if you are so inclined, I like to bring these numbers together for total site averages, and watch them closely for deviations that may point to load balancing issues, although other metrics are easier to use for such calculations, and deviations can be statistical bumps in such data.
I would be interested in finding the same mechanism for websphere if anyone would like to share. Hopefully from the PMI interface, though I don't believe it to be in there.
Hope that helps, John
