how to do egate performance measurement
INSHORT: Imagine Siebel in front end talking to a db2 database in the back through a message hub having mq series. siebel puts xml file in this end of the hub, the egate hub converts it to copy book format
Now I want to do is measure transaction time and split to pieces
1. Siebel to message hub as xml
2.hub to db2 as copybook
3.time taken to process by egate in db2 and give back in xml
3.reply in mqseries
I am sure transaction time end to end can be measured in Siebel, but is there a hub monitor
Re: how to do egate performance measurement
A the holy grail of application performance measurement!
Unless you have instrumented your code or you have some sort of fairly instrusive monitoring going on that not only can monitor all the different infrastructural components but also can recognize to which transactions certain monitored activities belong, you will not succeed.
What you can do is monitor each station, look at the system usage for those stations and draw your conclusions from there.
