Identifying a process running on multi processor machine
I have an application which can run on machines with multiple processor machines. There are 2 versions of this application
Version 1 - The application should be able to run on multiprocessor systems but should only run on the primary processor(single processor)
Version 2 - The application should be able to run on more then one processors.
I have problem in identifying the processor on which the process(.exe) of the application is running on. Any help on this would be appreciated.
Let me know if any more details are required.
Re: Identifying a process running on multi processor machine
what OS are you using?
I know on Solaris, you can use "mpstat" which tells you CPU utilization statistics per CPU on multiprocessor machines. Not sure what other flavors of *nix have this available.
