I am in need of a freeware tool, used for measuring the performance on system when no of users increases.
Is there freeware toool which can gratify my requirements..
I searched this forum a lot but wasn't able to find any specific answer
Are you looking for a tool to measure the load on the system, to apply the load to the system, or both?
Things like Perfmon can do a pretty good job of instrumenting the effect of load on a system, it's part of most windows OS's these days, and it can be used to monitor multiple performance counters on multiple machines at the same time.
I don't myself know of any freeware load/performance tools per say, but I've not been looking for any, so MY having not heard is well expected at this point.
But really for anyone here to help you with that question we really have to better define what you are trying to test.. what kind of users? What are they doing? are they running some propriatary application, or hitting a website, or what? what kind of app are you testing? what OS is the system(or systems) running?
In order for anyone to recommend a tool, we need to know more about what you want to do, because 'measureing performance on system when no of users increases' is a REALLY generic description that could apply to virtually all types of performance and load testing
