Application Center Test
I am trying to use a tool called "Microsoft Application Center Test" which is a forerunner of an older toolcalled Web Application Stress Test. This tool can be used for Stress/ Load testing odf WebApplciations.
I have been trying to use this tool to test the preformance of an internet banking application developed by our company. I am having a problem running a recorded script with more than 1 browser connection.
I recorded a simple sequence of actions which involves the following:
1. Logon to the application by entering a ID and pwd,
2. Perform a transaction (funds transfer) and
I ran 10 iterations of this script for one browser connection, the script executed successfully and did what was expected. However, when I increased the simultaneos browser connections to 2 (I created a new user group containing 2 users and entered valid Ids and pwds for the same)and ran the script, it failed. Upon investigating, I realised that my script was not using the 2nd user for the second connection. It was trying to connect to the same user using the same ID and Pwd as the first user for the second session as well.
I am not able to figure out how to tell the tool to use a new UID and pwd for a new connection programatically??
Can any one help resolve this problem??
Re: Application Center Test
Moving to ACT Forum. You need to know how to do "datapooling" in that tool. Someone should be able to help you there.
