I have record a website that have ASP.NET drop down menus. Astra Load Test working fine when I run this but when come to drop down click then run stopped and give that pop up error message
“Cannot identify the object “Chicago”(of class link). Please verify that the object properties match an object currently displayed in your application”
other than these menus when I run everything fine and successful. So my question is this whether these tools do not support these menus or there’s some solution??
There are more great ideas out then you think...
Well, I've recorded a SilkPerformer script against an ASP.Net web application that doesn't have drop-downs, but it does have a navigation bar on the left side of the screen that it doesn't recognize. What I did, was to record the app in normal web mode, instead of .Net. Then, it records the url that the menu link was refering to. This way, the script is not bound by the inability to 'see' the menu/nav-bar.
I don't know if that works for you, just thought I would give you something to try.
