Less than a week. The easy stuff is easier in LoadRunner than it is in Robot. It will take a little time to stop cursing at the scheduler (TestDirector). TestManager is FAR superior in that aspect.
If you like Rational Reports you will hate Mercury reports (personally, I like neither and make my own). There are certain aspects of LR that you will probably like better.
If you are accustomed to doing lots of customized scripting manually, you will probably be frustrated with how much LR shields from you. I never got as good at LR as I am with Rational for just that reason.

Somehow, I doubt that IBM/Rational will supply a product to convert their scripts to LoadRunner or WinRunner. If Mercury doesn't have a conversion tool (doubtful), you can run the Robot script and capture the session with Load/WinRunner. Or, probably a better bet, record/write the script from scratch with the Mercury product.
1. Run your Rational Test
2. Record the traffic generated for 1 VU with LoadRunner
3. Generate LoadRunner script
4. Tweak your scripts so that they will work in a similar fashion as the Rational test used to work.
5. Run your test.
Redo all your test scripts in LR from scratch.
This is the preferred method.
BTW significant profiency in Rational Performance Test and LR assumed.
