Evaluating Web load/stress tools
These are my needs:
- Simulate ~1000 Web users concurrently on a single PC systems
- Each user should have its own session & states
- Able to script each session at different states independently, preferably through some sort of recording mechanism
- Able to collect and analyze the test data for each, subset of, or all of the sessions.
and the most important of all, it's the price. I don't have lots of budget to work with, so the cheaper the better as long as the package can meet my needs.
So, any idea what's best for me? thanks.
Re: Evaluating Web load/stress tools
Tried OpenSTA? It does support bandwidth throttling but everything else.
It should do fine for your needs by the looks of things.
It is open source (free!!) but could do with a little more development.
In time this WILL be a number one product.
I would reccomend Empirix e-test/e-load myself. Easy to use, works (some dont!!), great graphing/result recording, did I say easy to use?!!
