Simulate input type file with Pylot

    Hello,

    I have use pylot for load test to simulate a user to login in a page, and to simulate a user to register to a forum.

    And now, I want to use pylot to simulate a user who upload a file in my local web site.

    Is it possible, to do that with pylot ?

    I assume you are using this http://pylot.org/

    Hmm. I wonder whether we have any Pylot experts here?

    Re: Simulate input type file

    Hello,

    Yes I am using pylot, but I don't know if pylot is obsolete, because I try to search documentation for pylot to how can I use pylot for different webform, and the only doc is that : http://www.pylot.org/gettingstarted.html

    It doesn't help me, so I search the pylon "help forum" but it doesn't exist…

    This is my local web site form :

    <fieldset>
    <legend>Envoi d'image</legend>

    Image :

    <input type="hidden" name="MAX_FILE_SIZE" value="<?php echo $taille_max; ?>" />

    </fieldset>

    And I want to simulate a user with pylot but my testcase do nothing…

    <testcases>
    <case>

    <method>POST</method>

photo=/Users/my_username/Desktop/my_image.jpg

    <add_header>Content-type: multipart/form-data</add_header>
    </case>
    </testcases>

    If someone know how to do that…

    And for information I use MAMP (the last version), in unix (mac snow leopard).

    Thanks for the help.

    Re: Simulate input type file

    You want something like this per the getting started page, "Example: File-based HTTP Payloads" section:

    <case>

    <method>POST</method>

    </case>

    your adding of content-type may or may not be necessary.
