Go to each of the vendor's websites and study the product literature sheets. List all the features for each product in s spreadsheet. If there are not enough details after you complete that task, ask each vendor to send you information.

Any reason why you left QALoad off the list?

    Yuva,
Why are you doing this comparison? If you're writing a magazine article, Jake's advice is spot on. However, if you need to bring a tool in house to do some testing, you should probably figure out what you need the tool to do--in other words, set requirements!! Then, evaluate the tools against those requirements.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">I would go a step further and invite all the short-listed vendors to do a proof of concept on my application/s, and then evaluate what each vendor did, in how much time, and with what amount of difficulty / ease.

    Hope it helps.

Some more to add to the good advice above. I would look at your most complex or problematic systems, and note what technologies they use. Approach the vendors directly and ask them if they work well with what you have. Then call their bluff. Ask them to do a proof of concept using your specific apps/technologies.
