can we do performance test on client server application using Citrix remote solutions
I am working on a client server application which uses FoxPro and Sequel Server. Currently, I am connecting to the application remotely via Citrix. (This application is not installed on my machine and I connect to the application (short cut icon) via Citrix). This is the best I could explain about the application at this time as I am new to this field.
This application is going live in two weeks. My understanding is all users should connect to this application via Citrix and they all will be remotely working on the same machine. I wanted to know if
1> Is it possible to do performance test on this application?.
2> What type of test tools can be used in this case?
Re: can we do performance test on client server application using Citrix remote solutions
If you're interested in testing performance from the "client" perspective (that is, the performance of the application as experienced by a user of the application, as opposed to the back-end performance of the server), you might also want to take a look at Eggplant. One of our customers has successfully been using it to load test the performance of an application accessed through Citrix, similar to what you've described.
