Java application performance testing
I have a Java application that needs to be tested for performance to sure data contention issues don't exist and to develop performance characteristics that can help me in capacity planning.
My question is how am I to create the test data? For instance, if I am doing a scenario that tests inserts, deletes and updates, will be tool I select to write the script ensure that these operations will be successful?
Should I be looking at another tool that will help me build the test data?
Re: Java application performance testing
Some applications have the ability to read and write from datapools during testing. Rational Robot uses Datapools and contains detailed instructions for creating and using them. Lighter tools like jMeter might require some coding to get datapools working.
