Strategy for mainframe performance engineering
I'm a newbie in performance management, I read a lot of documentation, so by now I think I have the right point of view for our new project. But I'm the only person, who cares about methodology, however, that's the most important thing, before we start testing and/or engineering performance. It would be great, if some of you could post some strategies or just the experiences you've made with performance engineering of mainframe applications/systems.
I got lot of tools, like Compuware Strobe or InSoft DB/IQ-QA, and I know, that they're are the right choices, but if you have any other ideas, they're welcome, too.
Aim is to create a concept for our project Host Performance Improvement.
Many thanks in advance,
