About a year ago a ParaSoft engineer told me that when JTest runs its dynamic tests, it runs them in a symbolic virtual machine. That is, the code under test was not actually running in a real Java virtual machine but rather, was simulated in order to locate potentially unhandled exceptions.

Is this still the case? If not, what has changed and with which version?
